Using your CAROL Bike without membership.

Membership calibrates CAROL to you. Connecting you to results, quicker. Without it, workouts will be effective, but less efficient, with access to basic features only:

Default resistance settings

Riders start at the optimal resistance level - but do not benefit from further optimization.

6 science-backed workouts

Intense, Energizer, Fat Burn 30, Fat Burn 60, Free Ride, and Endurance workouts.

Post-workout metrics

Standalone performance metrics, but without trends or leaderboards to take the guesswork out of your training.

Integrations

Connect to apps like Peloton, Zwift, YouTube, Netflix and more. Pair with Apple Watch via Heartcast.

Do I need a membership to use CAROL Bike?

Yes, with a membership you’ll unlock all the features of your CAROL Bike, including AI-personalized workouts, with instant resistance for maximum results.

However, without a membership you do still have access to valuable features, with non-personalized resistance settings, standalone performance metrics and six science-backed workouts. You can also connect to apps like Peloton, Zwift, YouTube, Netflix and Apple Watch via Heartcast.

 

What is included in my CAROL membership?

CAROL Home membership includes AI-personalization, 24+ science-based workouts, a personalized dashboard, and access for up to 8 riders.

CAROL Premium membership offers additionally for each individual Premium member regular personal coaching with a CAROL expert and Les Mills+ Premium access. Premium membership also offers premium protection for your bike to cover any faults and accidental damages (eligibility criteria apply) and priority support.

 

What is the membership price?

CAROL Home membership is priced at $19.99/month (excl. sales tax).

CAROL Premium membership is priced at $59.99 for a first member and $49.99 for every additional member. CAROL Premium membership includes all benefits of standard CAROL Home membership for up to 8 users in a household.

What are my payment options?

You can pay monthly on your bike using your credit or debit card. Manage your payment method any time by tapping Profile > Preferences.

 

When does my membership start?

Your membership starts when you sign up and create your profile on your bike.

 

How do I know when to pay for my membership?

You will add your payment method during your initial profile set up.

You will be charged monthly, and can cancel your membership at any time.

 

How many profiles can I have under one membership?

You can have up to eight riders on one CAROL Home membership, meaning your entire household benefits from your CAROL Bike.

The additional benefits of CAROL Premium membership are for individual premium members.

 

Do I need to pay for CAROL Home membership if I am a CAROL Premium member?

No, any CAROL Premium membership includes all the benefits of CAROL Home membership for up to 8 members of your household.

Additional benefits of CAROL Premium membership like regular personal coaching with a CAROL expert and a personal login for Les Mills+ are for individual premium members.

 

How can I access Les Mills+ workouts?

Access to the full Les Mills+ Premium library of over 2,500 science-backed workouts with a personal login to the Les Mills+ apps and website are available to CAROL Premium members.

CAROL Premium members can activate their Les Mills+ access on their bike app under Settings > User preferences > Membership.

Les Mills+ workouts can then be accessed via the Les Mills+ app on your CAROL Bike or another device. You can be logged into Les Mills+ on up to three devices concurrently.

 

What is Premium protection and what bikes are eligible?

Premium protection for your CAROL Bike is a benefit of CAROL Premium membership.

Eligible bikes with Premium protection are covered for any faults and accidental damages for as long as you are a Premium member. So if there is any issue with your bike due a fault or accidental damage, we will repair or replace your bike free of charge, for complete peace of mind.

Your bike is eligible for Premium protection if:

  • You have a CAROL Bike 2.0 model
  • You sign up for Premium membership while you are still in the original warranty period
  • You have been continuously a CAROL Premium member since you first signed up for CAROL Premium

If the warranty period of your CAROL Bike has ended or you cancelled and restarted your CAROL Premium membership, you can book a preventive maintenance inspection to make your bike eligible for Premium protection again.

A preventive maintenance inspection will involve a visit from a CAROL approved technician who will check through your bike, complete a comprehensive schedule of maintenance tasks, and exchange wear & tear parts if necessary.

The price for a preventive maintenance technician visit is typically $299 (excl. sales tax). Please contact us at [email protected] for personalised quotation and to book the service. If the inspection reveals the need for any larger repairs outside our standard maintenance schedule, you will be provided with a quotation for the additional costs before we proceed.

 

Can I pause and/or cancel my membership?

You can cancel your membership at any time by tapping Profile > Preferences. 

While you cannot pause your membership, you can always cancel it then reactivate it at any time. 

However, cancelling CAROL Premium membership will void your bike’s eligibility for Premium protection. 

 

I’ve changed my credit card info. How do I update this on the app?

You can remove your old card and add your new one by tapping Profile > Preferences > Manage.

 

I represent a gym/studio. What kind of membership do we need?

You need a commercial membership. Commercial membership tiers start at 24 riders and are priced from $49/month (excl. sales tax).

Commercial membership includes all the features outlined above, plus:

  • Additional user profiles
  • Dedicated customer success manager
  • Warranty covering commercial use
  • Software features for commercial use (e.g. gym dashboard, big-screen leaderboard, booking system)
  • Marketing support providing creative and educational assets
  • Option to participate in referral incentive scheme
