What does the AI do?

CAROL Bike uses AI to personalize your workouts, which helps you reach your fitness goals more quickly. CAROL’s AI is able to calculate the precise resistance that will push you to your personal limits, but never going over. Over time, CAROL’s AI continues to adapt as your fitness improves, so you’re always working to your maximum potential.

Can anyone ride CAROL Bike?

To ensure your safety, the rider requirements are:

  • Height: 4’7″ – 6’7″ / 140 cm – 200 cm
  • Max weight: 330 lbs / 150 kg

It is mainly for users 18+, but children can use the bike, too, as long as they’re tall enough to ride. Our guidance is that children 10+ can use the bike, with adult supervision, keeping in mind the recommendation is 60 minutes of exercise per week.

As with all exercise, riders with pre-existing heart conditions or who are pregnant should get medical clearance from their GP.

How big is the bike?

CAROL Bike is designed to fit seamlessly into your home, with a footprint of 45.5’ x 22’ / 116cm x 56cm. Based on this we recommend allowing a space of 46’ x 46’ / 116cm x 116cm for the bike, plus an additional 22’ / 56cm to one side so that you can embark/disembark easily.

How much does the bike weigh?

CAROL Bike’s durable design is built to last, weighing ​​120lb / 54.5kg. It is a fully commercial-grade exercise bike, built to withstand frequent use. With a heavy-duty, powder-coated steel frame, forged steel crank arms, composite flywheel with steel core and brushed aluminum outer ring.

Can I link other streaming services to my CAROL Bike?

You can connect to apps like Peloton, Zwift,YouTube, Netflix and more. You can also pair with Apple Watch via Heartcast.

What is REHIT?

Reduced Exertion HIIT (REHIT) is an optimized form of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) that’s more effective than conventional exercise — with a much shorter time commitment. This helps you achieve maximum fitness in the minimum time.

Is CAROL Bike good for beginners?

CAROL Bike is for all exercise levels based on adaptive AI technology. The bike will push you based on your current fitness level, so you can get the most out of the workout. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never worked out, haven’t worked out in two years, or workout every day. The bike will adapt to your level and push you to your max. The bike will continue to learn and ensure you are always getting a good workout.

Is CAROL Bike safe?

Yes, CAROL Bike is designed to make it completely safe for you to achieve optimal fitness at home. Here’s how:

  • CAROL Bike comes with built-in safety algorithms, as well as a heart rate monitor, that will warn you — or even abort a ride — if anything abnormal is detected with your heart rate.

  • CAROL Bike is a commercial-grade bike that is strong enough to withstand high impact, and the freewheel clutch lets you safely perform explosive sprints.

How do you measure performance and progress with CAROL?

Your CAROL Bike comes with a personalized dashboard with comprehensive performance metrics like Fitness Score; so you can accurately track how your fitness is improving.

It also comes with a heart rate monitor to optimize your performance more accurately—capturing R-R intervals (small changes in the intervals between successive heartbeats) for HRV (heart rate variability) measurement.

Why is the bike called CAROL?

CAROL stands for Cardiovascular Optimization Logic – your method to optimize and personalize cardio workouts, to make every moment mean more.

Does the bike come with any accessories?

Your CAROL Bike comes with a bottle holder and heart rate monitor that seamlessly connects to your bike for a more accurate way to track your performance.

You can also purchase supporting accessories with your bike, including a phone holder designed to keep you connected to the outside world while you workout, and a high-spec PVC bike mat, designed to protect your floor while you pedal.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery time depends on location. The timeframes in the table below refer to the time it will take for your bike to be delivered to your local delivery depot. Once your bike reaches the depot, you will be telephoned by the courier to schedule a delivery window that suits you – usually between 1-3 days, or 2-4 days for pre-assembled bikes.

Will I be charged duties and taxes?

If you live in the mainland US, Canada or UK, you will not need to pay additional duties or taxes on your order.

If you live outside of these countries, you might need to pay additional duties or taxes. These will be calculated and collected by DHL before they deliver your bike. Find more information on their duties and taxes policy here.

 

How do I track my order?

You’ll receive an email with tracking information as soon as your bike has shipped – usually within 1-2 business days from placing your order.

 

Can I cancel or modify my order?

If, for whatever reason, you need to make changes to your order, contact Customer Support as quickly as possible after placing your order, and they will do their best to assist you. Please note that you are unable to amend your order after it has shipped.

What is the assembly process like?

With just 7-steps and customer support on-hand— assembling CAROL yourself is simple, and should take no more than 50 minutes. You can watch the assembly video here and download a copy of our self-assembly user guide here.

Please note that the bike is heavy (120lb / 54.5kg), so we recommend assembling with two people, and that you do not attempt to lift it by yourself. There are wheels on the front stabilizers that you can use to maneuver the bike. The rear of the bike is where most of the weight is, so take care when attempting to lift it.

How much extra do I have to pay for pre-assembly?

Pre-assembly is offered in the mainland US and UK. You will get your bike delivered to room of choice fully assembled.

What is the profile set-up process like?

Setting up your profile on the bike is simple: plug it in, connect to Wifi and follow the instructions on-screen.

What is the CAROL returns policy?

CAROL offers a 100-day home trial, no questions asked. If, for whatever reason, your CAROL Bike isn’t for you, we’re happy to refund you and take back your bike.

This return service is free of charge if you live in the mainland US, Canada or UK. For all other regions you will be refunded for your bike, minus your original shipping cost and the return shipping cost.

From 100 days after the date of delivery, you will not be able to return your bike or request a refund.

Once your bike has been collected by the carrier, it will be sent back to our warehouse for inspection. The inspection covers the operation of the bike as well as a walkthrough for any damages. As long as the bike is operational and only shows signs of minimal wear and tear, a full refund will be issued.

 

How do I return my CAROL bike?

Arranging a return is easy, simply contact Customer Support and a member of the team will organize this for you.

We ask that you please return your bike in its original packaging.

 

Do I need to pay a return shipping fee?

If you live in the mainland US, Canada or UK it is free to return your bike. For all other regions, you will need to cover the return shipping cost, which will equal your original shipping cost.

 

Are shipping charges refundable?

If you live in the mainland US, Canada or UK, you will receive a full refund, including charges paid for shipping and assembly of the bike, if applicable.

For all other regions you will receive a refund for the bike, as well as any charges paid for assembly of the bike, but minus any original or return shipping charges.

 

How long does it take for a return to be processed?

Once your return request has been approved, a carrier will reach out to you within 5-7 days to schedule collection of your bike. After the bike has been collected, funds will be refunded to your original payment method within 25 days.

 

Where is my refund?

If you have not received your refund within the specified timeframe, contact Customer Support and a member of our team will be happy to help.

 

Can I get a refund if I financed my bike?

Absolutely. If you financed your purchase, Affirm or Klarna will refund your paid installments, less any interest paid.

 

What warranty coverage do I get with a CAROL bike purchase?

All bikes come with a 5-year frame warranty and a 1-year component warranty. You have the option to purchase an additional 1-year component warranty for £150 (excl. sales tax) to cover bike components for 2 years.

To make a claim contact Customer Support, quoting either the email address used at checkout or to create your bike profile, or your order number.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay for your bike using all major credit and debit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

 

Do you offer a financing plan?

Yes, we offer a 0% Finance plan for those in the UK and US. You can pay over 12 months with Klarna in the UK, or Affirm in the US.

Note that financing is subject to credit check and approval. In cases of partial approval, a down payment may be required.

 

Is my membership included in my monthly payments?

Finance plans cover the bike only, your membership will be billed separately.

 

When is the first payment due if I have ordered my CAROL Bike with finance?

The first repayment is taken by Affirm or Klarna once your CAROL Bike has been dispatched.

I have a medical condition. Can I use CAROL Bike?

A safe user experience is of the utmost importance to us.

All users must, prior to carrying out any exercise on CAROL Bike, complete this short Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ, see below) to ensure that the bike is used within the prescribed safety margins:

  • Has your doctor ever said that you have a heart condition and that you should only do physical activity recommended by a doctor?
  • Do you feel pain in your chest when you do physical activity?
  • In the past month, have you had chest pain when you were not doing physical activity?
  • Do you lose your balance because of dizziness, or do you ever lose consciousness?
  • Do you have a bone or joint problem (for example, back, knee or hip) that could be made worse by a change in your physical activity?
  • Is your doctor currently prescribing drugs (for example, water pills) for your blood pressure or heart condition?
  • Do you know of any other reason why you should not do physical activity?

Each CAROL Bike rider is responsible for their own health.

If a rider answers Yes to any of the questions, we request that the rider seek medical advice from a professional prior to using CAROL.

If a rider feels unwell when using CAROL, they must immediately cease use of CAROL and seek medical advice from a professional.
